I was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, where I learned the importance of faith, family, education, and serving my community. Growing up, I enjoyed writing, reading, and finding ways to express myself through creativity. One of the ways I discovered my voice was through poetry. Writing became an outlet that allowed me to reflect on my experiences, share my perspective, and encourage others through the power of words.
My journey as a leader and advocate began during one of the most challenging moments of my life. As a student, I was suspended for 45 days following allegations of harassment. Although that experience was difficult, it changed the direction of my life. It opened my eyes to the importance of understanding students' rights, due process, and the need for young people to have a voice. Rather than allowing that moment to define me, I chose to let it motivate me to become an advocate for fairness, opportunity, and positive change.
From that point forward, I became more involved in leadership, community service, and organizations that allowed me to make a difference. I have been blessed with opportunities to serve in leadership roles through the Jackson Madison County NAACP Youth Council, Top Teens of America, NSPDK Phi Delta Kappa Inc. Gamma Psi Kudos, the Jackson TN Mayor's Youth Council, and several other organizations. These experiences have strengthened my leadership skills, deepened my passion for service, and reinforced my belief that every young person has the ability to make an impact.
I am a student at Madison Academic Magnet High School in Jackson, Tennessee, where I continue to challenge myself academically while remaining active in leadership and community service. My academic interests include government, history, law, and public service.
After graduating from high school, I plan to attend college and pursue a career in law. My goal is to become an attorney and use my education, leadership, and experiences to advocate for justice, serve my community, and create meaningful change.
Everything I do is guided by integrity, service, compassion, and perseverance. I believe true leadership is not about titles but about serving others, standing up for what is right, and using your voice to inspire positive change. I strive to lead with humility, work hard, and leave every place better than I found it.
Outside of school and leadership, I enjoy writing poetry, reading, photography, attending church, and spending time serving my community. These interests continue to shape who I am and remind me that learning, creativity, and service are lifelong pursuits.
As I continue my journey, I remain committed to growing as a leader, advocate, author, and servant of my community. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and hope to use my experiences to inspire others, promote justice, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those around me.
